Dr. Kianoosh Ziayan grew up in Worcester, Massachusetts. He attended University of Massachusetts Amherst and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology.
Dr. Z began his undergraduate with a major in Computer Science, on a path to being a game designer. During his freshman year, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. After many doctor visits and treatments, he began to research health and fitness. He realized the profound effect nutrition and lifestyle can have on a range of health conditions. This led him to begin exercising, eating healthy, and taking Kinesiology courses. As such, he switched majors when he realized his obsession with health and fitness had outgrown his desire for programming. To augment the progress he was making in the gym, he began seeking a Chiropractor. He was amazed at their efficiency and efficacy in diagnosing and resolving a wide range of issues he had dealt with for quite some time without success. Dr. Z quickly discovered that this was the profession he was meant to join.
Dr. Z became a part-time personal trainer while completing his Chiropractic degree, so that he could help individuals achieve their fitness goals and overcome previous injuries. He completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2020 at Logan University. During his time there, Dr. Z was accepted into an internship program at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois as part of the 375th Medical Group under Dr. Charles Portwood. Dr. Z worked alongside a variety of medical professionals, providing treatment for active-duty military members. Upon graduation, he practiced in New Jersey until moving down to the “Sunshine State” in 2022. In his free time, Dr. Z enjoys exercising, spending time with his wife (who is also a Chiropractor), traveling, and spending time at the beach.
